Visas and Passports

Apparently the only coutry harder to get into than the US is Russia. Well, it might be a toss up... depends on who you ask. We filled out Visa applications a while ago but there are many stipulations. for example: your passport can't expire the same year you leave, you have to have a current photo with your visa application, they want to know your employment history your parents employment history, siblings, spouses empoyment and education history (that was easy for me) I was amazed at how much they wanted to know!!
I also have come to understand that you arrive when your visas says you will arrive and you leave when your visa says you leave, period. from what I understand the Us application process is very strenous. They want to know how much land and capital you have in your home coutry and family ties you might have in your home coutry. I guess thats to insure that you'll go home after your visit to the states. Anyone else find this slightly irronic?
