In effort to implement technology into my everyday classroom I am requiring students to participate in a classroom forum/assignment/question every day when they first get to class. Today's forum asked the students to search the Internet for a floral arrangement they liked, post and explain why they like it.

One student followed my directions to the T but was selective in the cropping of the photo. Take note of his explanation of why he liked the photo.... I think I have my hands full.

One of my new students is Autistic. When he came into class the second day I asked him to come to my desk. I asked him if he liked his seat in class, because if he did this could be his place for the rest of the year. I thought I was being a super teacher being sensitive to his needs of routine and schedule and familiarity. He walked over, flipped his chair over, inspected it, sat down rocked and wiggled then looked at me and nodded..... I have so much to learn from this kid.
